Endless Forest, Second Life, and Real Life update

I discovered this really cute game called The Endless Forest from THIS POST. You get to play as a fawn, which I assume eventually grows up since I've seen adult deer around. What's interesting about the game is that you can NOT talk. Nope, no words, just gestures and movements to communicate your message. it's very interesting ^_^
And also the place is just very nice and relaxing.

Ok, now for an update, list style! ^_^

Second Life
+ I am now officially a DJ in SL. If any of you guys are playing SL and want to visit me some times at the club, feel free to IM me! Azareth Kohime! ^_^
+ I finally decided to get a pro Bloghud, meaning I can now post photos on the go when things happen. Check out my bloghud page
+ I moved my SL blog to wordpress

Annwfn
+ This weekend nothing eventful happened. But I DID get this really cute photo of Jeff and Aries! ^_^

Other
+ I have finally decided to start reading The Artist's Way and so far I LOVE it! I don't know why, but for the longest time I thought this was some sort of easy book. But it isn't at all! it has essays in it, but it's primary a workbook. Right now I'm on week 2 (and kind of falling behind on my morning pages) and things are going pretty good. I think aside from helping me with my creativity it's helping me sort out other problems as well. I most certainly suggest this book to everyone who hasn't read it yet! ^_^
+ My computer is being an ass latly. It wont load Yahoo, Google, Animesuki, wordpress, Shelfari, Ravelry... pretty much a good portion of the web sites I go to. Thankfully things like Fashion World of SL and Bookmooch still load, but it's still SO freaking annoying to not be able to access those sites on this computer. (they load just fine on any other computer in the house, just not mine)

EDIT
haha, I forgot to post the photos I've uploaded

Lord of the Rings Onlin beta and today
yay, I just got my beta invite to Lord of the Rings Online, wheeee. The stress test doesn't start till the 14th, but at least I've signed up with my account and I've got the program all loaded and ready to go.
now, do I think it's going to be a worth while MMORPG? I have no idea, I haven't done any research on it. But I'll see what the beta is like at least. *shrugs*
I just hope this isn't going to be anything like Dungeons & Dragons Online, cuz I really didn't like it a whole lot.

any way, today:
Today I had lunch with mom and Jeff and then around 2pm me and Jeff went up to the mall to look for new glasses. I decided I really didn't need new glasses, just new lenses and to get my current glasses ajusted. We then looked around for a little while and headed over to Best Buy, where I bought the Final Fantasy XII Guide and two Wii controller covers (a pink and black one)
then we shopped at Target and that's pretty much been my day... whee?

any way, today we went out shopping at costo and I bought Rayman Raving Rabbids. it's a bunch of mini games and it's a lot of fun ^_^

Final Fantasy XII Japanese vs English dub
Normally when it comes to things like games and anime that was originally produced in Japanese I always hate the English dub, but for some reason I really, really like the dub in Final Fantasy XII (even if the words don't match their mouths exactly). In fact when I watch it in Japanese it seems a little weird since the character are so freaking European looking. (actually I heard that used the bone structure of a French woman for Ashe, so they probably did the same for the rest of the cast.) So yeah, I just like how it works so well in English. Plus I am in love with Balthier's voice, hehe. and Fran's voice is really interesting to listen to, I don't know why o_O"

Eh well, here's what I mean about the voices.... you decided which you like better

Final Fantasy XII
I got tired of waiting for gamefly to send it to me, so I went out and bought Final Fantasy XII with the money that dad gave me for my birthday. ^_^
it's a lot of fun so far, though the combat system takes a little getting used to. But it is an fun game. PLUS I am so happy with the dub of the game, so much better than the Final Fantasy X dub! I hated wakka's voice so much in Final Fantasy X, actually I hated a lot of peoples voices in Final Fantasy X. But so far all of the dub voices in Final Fantasy XII have matched the characters nicely (almost better than the short clips of the Japaneses version I heard) and no one is annoying like Wakka was! ^_^
YAY!

movies!
This morning me and Jeff watched a movie that tivo suggested called Laura, DON'T READ THE DESCRIPTION IF YOU PLAN ON SEEING THE MOVIE cuz it has a MAJOR spoiler!
any way, it was an interesting movie. ok, not the best movie in the world, but it was fun watching an old movie in the morning in bed with Jeff ^_^
yay for morning movies! ^_^

Also we're going to be getting a few movie in the mail from netflix soon.
- Toys since it's been forever since I last saw that movie
- Thank You for Smoking & Journey of Man since our English teacher said we should check out these videos and they do sound interesting ^_^
Also after that we'll be getting a a 4 disc series called Physics: The Elegant Universe cuz it was another thing suggested by our English teacher. I don't know if I'll actually watch the entire series, but I'll at least give disc one a chance.

and on another note, gamefly was a jerk and sent me Magna Carta: Tears of Blood instead of Final Fantasy XII!! I am so angry >_<
I'll have to wait for Magna Carta to get here and then send it back and then wait for them to send me Final Fantasy XII! this is going to take a good week or more.... and I really wanted to play Final Fantasy XII ;_;

Okami and school
so, as the last post says below, my photography class got canceled >_<
I assumed it's because the new teacher didn't have all his stuff together, cuz we were getting a new teacher today. Well, now it's Wednesday. I wonder what the new teacher is going to be like o_O"
I hope he's as nice and not confusing as the last teacher. Well, our last teacher said he likes the guy and that he's a good teacher, so that's a good sign.

any way, yesterday I finished playing Okami! Man, that was a GREAT game! and I'm playing again too, cuz when you start over after finishing you start with all your health, ink, and weapons. Well, aside from a couple key weapons, no big deal. I kick major ass since I'm in the beginning of the game and have my whip-o-doom! (ok, their beads, but it looks like a whip when you fight with it) But even though I've done all this stuff before I'm still have a ton of fun playing it! It is such a fun game *nods*

Okami and stuff
I've been playing Okami a lot for a past fews days. it is such a fun game, seriously!
I just made it to act 6, which I think is the last act. Though I just started it so I have a while before I finish the game completely. Plus I still have to find all the stray beads. so many beads.... but for what I can't find on my own, I have the official guide.

so I have photography today. I really have no idea what I'm going to be doing since I already made the required prints for my project. I guess I could try to make the prints looks better by messing with dodging and stuff. Or maybe I'll shoot another roll of film and develop it in class today. That's in class, no more trying to cut corners for me. nope, never again. Karma gave me a kick in the ass Monday for trying to cheat, so I wont ever try to do that again. that's for sure.

that reminds me, I need to buy more paper and film before class today. well, the film can wait, but I only have like, one sheet of paper left. and since I'll be going to the store I might as well buy more film while I'm there. I'm down to 2 rolls of film, however I can't seem to find the 2nd roll.... so I'll just say I only have the roll that's currently in my camera.
when I got my camera from ebay it did come with like, 5 rolls of film, but they're color. we're working with B&W film in this class, so yeah... doesn't help me much. but at least when I do start doing color I'll have a lot of film. or I could just use it for my pinhole camera in the mean time. wheee ^_^

higurashi no naku koro ni
Well, I just finished watching the last ep of higurashi no naku koro ni. I would say wow, but that really doesn't define how I felt about the ending.
Regardless of how much of a 'good end' it seemed at the end, the great Hinamizawa disaster probably happens anyway. (I've read any way. they don't show it though)

The anime ends at Tsumihoroboshi-hen, which means it's missing the final two chapters that explain everything. A few things get answered, but in the end there are still a lot of questions left unanswered.
now here's the problem I am currently faced with. Should I go and find the answers to my questions about the last two chapters (I know a message board that has a higurash forum) OR desperately cling on the the hope that they might bring the PS2 port out here. it seems almost ridiculous to hope that they will bring it out here, but stranger things have happened. But if by some miracle they do bring it out here I'd be kicking myself for not waiting to play the game. then again if they did decided to bring it out here it's going to be a really long time since the PS2 port in japan doesn't come out till December.... I think.

EDIT:
Well actually, this looks promising

Road Trip End
So we are now back home, safe and sound. YAY!

After leaving the hotel we decided to stop by the house one last time to see if we could talk to anyone there, and there was someone there! what we found out is that there are indeed other people living on the property other than those who were allowed to live there. actually, the lady who "manged" the property (we get a laugh from that) hasn't been there for a month! the guy we talked to was living there for free, but he suggested that there were others there paying rent to this lady. *rolls eyes*
At least we know the status of the situation now.

on the way back home we picked up a deck of car game cards (52 Fun Things to Do in the Car) from Borders and played a few games on the way back home. here's the ones that I wrote down

The Hero and The Crown
I rented the book on tape of The Hero and The Crown and right now I am transferring it to my computer. yeah, I mean recording it one tape at a time. So far I've recorded up to chapter 8, go me?
and why am I doing this, you ask? Well, first of all the only version of the audio book listed on amazon.com is the 2 cassette abridged version. (also no one is selling it) What the hell? The one at the library is 8 cassettes! for some reason the only places I can find the 8 cassette version is libraries, so I wonder if it was a library only addition? o_O"
it dosen't seem to exist any were else and I can't even find the cover art for it online! though I did scan it and once I finish recording it I'm going to upload it to the net since they really don't seem to have any plans to put this on CD. (if they wont do it I will!)
and what is with my obsession with this story, you ask? eh, I just remember listening to it back in jr high and I've always loved this story. so yay for getting to listen to it again! ^_^

edit:
ok, I lied, I did find the 8 cassette version online to buy, for like $70 on the official site
Recorded Books inc - The Hero and the Crown
but dam, $70 for cassettes?

also I've been playing a ton of Oregon Trail 5, which is a strange hybrid between Oregon Trail 2 and Oregon Trail 3 (primarily Oregon Trail 2) with added cheesy cartoon scenes. But I'm mainly playing it for the fact that it's mostly just a copy of Oregon Trail 2. seriously, all the graphics (well, the river crossing is different) are the same and the interface is the same (aside from the few things that are from Oregon Trail 3) though one thing they did change is when you are talking with people in the original version their months moved, but in Oregon Trail 5 their months stay still. kinda odd since I keep expecting their months to move o_O"

hmmm, this looks interesting:
The 7th Guest Part III: The 13th Doll
The game is being done by a fan group, but it dose look interesting. Can't wait to play it ^_^
Too bad I can't look at the offical site till I get home. Stupid work computer banning random web sites >_<
I cant even go on flickr!

any way, I don't know why but I've been looking up old games I used to play on wikipedia and reading up on them. like The 7th Guest.
Actually I did learn something new from reading it.

Spoiler
"Towards the end of the game, it is revealed that the aforementioned Ego is, in fact, the spirit of Tad in an older guise, having been trapped in the Stauf mansion in his own personal purgatory and made to relive the events of the seven guests' gathering, with his only means of escape being the puzzles laying throughout the house. It is implied that, by the time chronicled at the game's prologue, Ego has spent several years -- possibly even decades -- trying to help Tad (and by proximity, himself) escape, but consistently failed to meet Stauf's challenges. Whether Ego was subjected to the same series of puzzles in his past incarnations as is presented in the game, is unknown." - from HERE

I knew that he was the spirit of Tad (and an older version of him) from reading the book (yes, there was a book) but I guess certain details like why he was there and how long he had been there slipped past me. I guess I wasn't really paying attention o_O"

and other games that I looked up were
- Obsidian
- Phantasmagoria
- The Oregon Trail (though I played Oregon Trail II when I was little)
- The Amazon Trail
- King's Quest

ADDED:
ALSO (even though this is old news) I found some info on Diablo III
Rumor: Diablo III On the Way? You Better Believe It!
Not sure how accurate the information is, but you know it is at the very least interesting to read.

also, about the cow lvl, I read this HERE:
"To quell the rumor, Blizzard included a cheat (that automatically won the game) in StarCraft that read "There is no cow level"
hehe, I knew it was a Diablo reference! what? it amuses me.

I just watched some videos of Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories on youtube.com and wow, I understand a lot of what was going on in the beginning of Kingdom Hearts II that I didn't understand before. I thought Chain of Memories was just more of the same from Kingdom Hearts (since some shows said something a long those lines) but it would have been useful to know what was going on in Chain of Memories since there are a lot of references to it in Kingdom Hearts II.

eh, maybe I'll go back and play both Kingdom Hearts and Chain of Memories

guess what? I just finished Kingdom Hearts II!! ^_^
well, I still need to go back and finish everything for it to be complete complete, but I DID finish the boss fight. so yay, game over. it always feels weird when something you've been playing for 30+ hours suddenly ends o_O"
but it's not over yet, I still need to do all of those sides missions that I missed!

and for those of you that don't know, even though I'm sure if you cared you already do know, there was majors hints that there will be a Kingdom Hearts 3! yes, yet another game o_O"
... I better go back and finish playing Kingdom Hearts. not that I don't have enough time, I'm sure it's going to take forever for them to announce it. then they have to set a release date and push it out at least 2 or 3 times before they actually release.

and again, I'm sure anyone who cares has probably already seen this buuuut I'm posting a link to it any way:

I just found this funny:
"...It’s a harem all right… and instead of wanting to score with the loser male lead, they want to kill him. And if they kill him, it’s only because they loved him too much." - from here
lol
any way, the above quote was about higurashi no naku koro ni. This seasons weirdest anime. yeah... at first I was completely turned off by the first ep since it just looked like your average cute like anime (I didn't even finish the first ep) but then I read this review and decided to give it a chance. actually I took the advice given, which was to start on the 2nd ep and then watch the first ep later. maybe I should watch it now so I can understand more of what's going on..

so I've played yet another two hours of Kingdom Hearts II today. well, actually it was almost 3 hours, just about 8 minutes short of 3 hours.... ok, so I've played 3 hours of Kingdom Hearts II today. I don't know why, but I am having a lot more fun playing Kingdom Hearts II than I ever had with playing Kingdom Hearts. I'm not sure why o_O"

the voice acting in the game is good for the most part, but Aerith sounds like she has a cold o_O"
seriously.... there are some character that should just have voice actors in their original language, I believe Aerith is one of them. Though Yuffie wasn't too bad and Leon's voice was alright as well. But Aerith... why dose she sound like she has a cold?! maybe the few lines she had was all she is going to have, so they decided not to splurge on a good voice actor for her... oh well, at least everyone else sounds fine.
